The Dahlkemper School of Business offers the degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with areas of concentration as listed above. The BSBA degree is being phased out and Fall 2024 semester is the last entry point for students into this degree program.
Beginning in Fall 2024, students accepted into the BSBA can change into the newly formed Bachelor of Science (BS) degree programs with the option for a major in: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, or Sport Business.
Graduation Requirements
The following requirements must be successfully completed to apply for graduation with a BSBA degree:
The Liberal Core Curriculum (required of all Gannon undergraduates) which enables a student to acquire and apply the knowledge and skills necessary to be a significant contributor to an organization, a community, and society
The upper and lower business core curriculum
Concentration curriculum
Elective courses if applicable.
Academic Standards
Students seeking a BSBA degree can earn up to two concentrations; to satisfy a double concentration, students must have 15 unique credits to the 2nd concentration area.
The BSBA degree is accredited by ACBSP.
Students must complete the capstone course (BCOR 480) at Gannon University.
Students must have a minimum business GPA of 2.50 and a minimum overall GPA of 2.50 to qualify for graduation with the BSBA. The 2.50 GPA requirement is effective for new Gannon students beginning Fall 2022.
Note: When you apply for graduation with the BSBA degree, if your GPA is not at or above the minimum 2.50, we will automatically move you to the Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Studies major program, which has a GPA requirement of 2.0, so that you can still graduate with a Business degree. To avoid being moved to the BA Business Studies degree (if your GPA is <2.50 at the time you apply for graduation), you can change your major to one outside of the School of Business prior to applying for graduation; but you cannot be awarded the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree if you do not meet the minimum 2.50 GPA requirement.
