Program Description

The Management curriculum prepares students to successfully plan, organize, staff, lead, and control the business enterprise. In today’s business environment, managers must think critically and analyze organizational and market changes. This demands an understanding of process measurement, forecasting, functional interdependence, forward thinking and analytics. Management students learn firsthand how to develop and manage projects and people by engaging in real-world projects for both for-profit and non-profit organizations.

Students in the Management major have the option of choosing a track in Global Business, Supply Chain Management, or Risk Management and Insurance.

The following courses (21 credits) must be completed to satisfy the requirements for the BS degree with a major in Management:

Management Core (9 credits)

  • MGMT 315 Enterprise Risk Management

  • MGMT 330 Project Management

  • MGMT 350 Quality Management

Management (no track) requirements: (12 credits)

  • MGMT 305 Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability

If students opt for a track, they will complete the management core (9 credits) and the following 12 credits for the track of choice:

  • ECON 443 Comparative Economic Systems or POLI 220 Comparative Government

Supply Chain Management Track

  • SCMG 310 Global Logistics

  • SCMG 425 Supply Chain Network Design

Risk Management and Insurance Track

  • RISK 300 Intro to RM and Insurance (LS Wellness Course)
