Thanks to our relationship with Fundamentals Flight Training (FFT) in Erie, PA, Gannon’s Dahlkemper School of Business proudly offers students the ability to earn a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Aviation & Business Management.

Your flight training and business education will equip you to earn Federal Aviation (FAA) licenses as early as your freshman year! FAA licenses available to students in the BS degree program include Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, and Commercial Pilot; plus, you can also become a Certified Flight Instructor. We’ll prepare you to navigate your career journey to exciting roles in either piloting, or the business side of aviation, in a global and dynamic industry that employs more than 1.2 million people in the United States alone.

Off-Site Coursework and Fees

For the BS degree, a total of 27 credits of study, identified as courses with an AVBM prefix (Courses: AVBM 110, 111, 120, 121, 210, 211, 212, 311 and 312) are instructed by and held at Fundamentals Flight Training facility located at 1605 Asbury Road, Erie, PA 16506. These courses are held face-to-face, and additional fees apply to them. Additionally, students in the BS degree program may be able to substitute (up to) 6 credits of coursework during their Senior year for a Co-op experience placement at FFT (ABVM 395, 396). Your academic advisor can provide additional information.
