This course provides students with an introductory study of the medical language through the use of prefix, suffix, word root and combining forms. Anatomic and clinical terms pertaining to each body system in addition to terms related to a holistic approach to patient care are covered. Learning activities emphasize pronunciation, proper spelling, interpretation, and application of medical terms, setting the foundation for effective communication in healthcare settings.
